About limited mind and the ego

mind and ego

Mind is a good tool at a rudimentary level, but for further evolution and improvement mind has to be transcended. That’s why in Buddhist and Hindu texts a person that is mostly using the left brain (logical, analytical one) the person is compared to a monkey, since its understanding about life and everything else is limited by the bookish knowledge and assumptions that mind is creating because there is no realization that comes with the opening (using) of the right brain functions which are more related to the abstract/artistic way of thinking and seeing things.

Look at the moment when we are very happy, they seem so scarce, so short especially compared to the “bad” moments. If you feel like that too, it means you have a “victim” mentality and from my experience, the victim continuously sabotages own life, attracting aggressors in his/her life with the fearful behavior and lack of trust. You may say: “well, but lack of trust is similar with cautiousness, so how can a cautious person attract aggressors in his/her life”? The victim and aggressors are attracted one to the other like magnets attract each other by having reversed polarities. The aggressor “smells” the victimization in the victim and after all, he’s just going with the script. Many times by having extreme fear, we provoke being attacked, because it’s the same like the animals have a sixth sense about smelling the fear of their victims. Of course everything happens behind the curtains, since both are unaware, so they will both go with the “program” which is of the same low vibration. The only difference is that they are having different polarities. When you are in fear, you must remember that you are an eternal being of light and everything is temporary. Anyway the threat is probably less real than we may think, and even if we’re facing the inevitable, like I said in a previous article, what’s the point of dying in fear, agony, or crying? Die if you have to die, smiling, enjoying the last minutes, since it’s a moment that has to be experienced with full awareness and devoid of fear.
Often the victim feels empowered in their existence after traumas, as a way of life to make it even, hence there is a chance of getting out of it, but by not being able to love himself fully and unconditionally, they tend to go to the other extreme, becoming an aggressor, and the aggressor invariably change places, since eventually all aggressors become victims one way or another.

I realize that we should have a new goal of recognizing the victim/aggressor behavior in ourselves and in order to render them obsolete, the only real thing that we can do is to fully surrender to the flow of life and to decide not to act, nor to react, which is the hardest since the reactions are 99% of the time are surfacing automatically . After the reaction, if we are aware, we may realize that we were mere spectators of the show put on by the “autopilot” which is programmed so that we either notice the patterns that are dragging us down, or we will succumb to them. The “autopilot” may get us into trouble, because of one moment of wrongly “going with the flow”, the flow of the low-vibration programs.

So you see my dear reader, ego is part of the game/Matrix, the very game that wants you to be ignorant and waste your time and energy into futile endeavors. This ego is the one that pushes people to suicide, kill or harm others. Just because this “little self” is a conglomerate of all of the bad qualities that we are having: pride, shame, inferiority, superiority, entitlement, guilt, anger, fear and many other. It’s impossible to “delete” it, or getting rid of it, as many so called spiritual leaders are recommending. Impossible from the simple reason that the removal of the things is also a trick of the Matrix, it will only be there in the back of the head, silently, running its silent programs undetected, because in our ignorance we assume that it can be removed. Removing it fully, it’s only possible when we are surrendering our bodies (when we die). So let’s not try removing it, let’s acknowledge it and decide that we are just to disempower it, fully aware of its existence and potential destructiveness in our lives.

How to disempower it? simple by cutting its energy out, by not feeding it with our victimized way of living, by not being neither of the extremes, no victim neither aggressor and not even savior, which is another ace in the sleeve of the Matrix (illusion). Just live everything half the way, don’t be too sad nor too happy, just try to understand that the point where the pendulum is resting is the point 0. When the pendulum goes to one extreme, it will make its swing to the other extreme as well, no doubt about it. So when there is a big moment of joy and we are emotionally fully immersed in it, we create the reactionary force that takes us to the negative side allowing us to experience “the other side”. Going towards extremes is just a waste of energy and time, energy that can be used otherwise. Life is just a collection of good and bad, black and white, female and male and any other representatives of the duality that we are here to experience. But as soon as we establish ourselves in neutrality we start discovering that there’s nothing to analyze, everything that happens in life is just neutral, with no meaning, but to experience all the degrees of it, both antagonistic parts of the duality and to raise above it, evolving out of it. Neutrality is the next level of evolution!
Mind creates reasons and explanations which are deluding and tricking us to believe that a certain experience is bad, very bad, good or very good, the problem is that it all comes through its previous experiences which already were misinterpreted and now we build misinterpretation based on the previous misinterpretation. Out of 2 twin brothers who were verbally abused in the childhood, one got traumatized because he interpreted that moment of abuse as the end of the world, something very traumatic which made him victimized, creating a reality out of the wrong assumption that nobody loves him and everyone wants to take advantage of him.

The second brother on the other hand didn’t interpret anything anyhow, so he was not affected anyhow by the verbal abuse of the father, so he didn’t develop any misconception about life or the happenings.

The traumatized brother will always be ill-programed by seeing some “darker side of the moon” in everything, although there may be nothing there.

Let’s say that when we are young we can’t really know how to do, how to react in certain situations, but now, as adults we have to remove the childhood programs that are plaguing our decisions, working with them. When programs from the past have no power anymore in our lives, we have a chance to improve, to be aware and not to develop new misunderstanding about anything.

As a conclusion, the mind creates misconceptions about everything and the ego is the very enemy on the evolutionary path of evolution trying to keep you ignorant. Realizing it, it’s already a huge step on the road to self-refinement.
