The biggest misconception

The biggest misconception that our mind serves us is that we are limited to the boundaries of our own bodies. That’s the invisible cell wall of our self-created prison.

I read in Yoga Vasistha, that the ignorant sees the golden bracelet in the form of just a bracelet and forgets the gold that is the essence of the bracelet. As such we are ignorant of the Supreme Self, that is the very essence of each and every manifested being or object. So let’s try to see deeper, because whatever is visible might be deluding and distracts us from recalling the Divine essence that imbues everything.
If we are That, the Absolute and Universes and everything inside and outside of them, how can we confine it to the limited bodies of ours, how can we limit ourselves to such a degree when we are Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscient as our essence is. We are just different jewelry and accessories made out of the same priceless material – God/The Ultimate /That..

Now maybe you can have that “Eureka” moment like I had myself, realizing that although we are bound by will and desires of the mind to this existence in the human body, in reality we remain that same boundless Being of pure Light that has no limit neither is confined by anything. Whatever we were always searching for (as true spiritual pursuits) was already inside of us all the time and our only effort should be in eliminating the misconceptions through which we are held prisoners and these misconceptions are created by the master of them all – our lower mind.

To transcend the mind at first we must exert a huge amount of willpower, this exertion will not take us to any palpable result, but to the realization that the machinations of the mind – thoughts and desires – are not real, are just limitations and the cunning snare of the Illusion which is the mind itself building the illusion that we are surrounded by. So the exertion of power, and courage serves just as a proof of our determination which allows Grace to come and remove the veil, otherwise it’s as futile as action as applying sunscreen on a rainy day. I know what you think, but then can’t we just wait for the Grace to come and bring with it the peace and silence inside of the mind and remove its limitations and reveal the Mind which is an extension of the Mind of the Creator, of the Absolute? I wish it could be that easy, because through the “false” path of exertion and action we show our valor, our courage, our determination, sturdiness, patience, humbleness, purity and selflessness which are mandatory for the true Self-realization of who we truly are, like I said in previous articles, the Power is Intelligent in itself, being but an extension of the Absolute, so it can’t be tricked, bribed or be brought forcefully or prematurely.

So go on and show what you are made of, discover and dust off from the shelves of oblivion the qualities of which we are all made of – the qualities of the Supreme: purity, selflessness, contentment, non-judgment, non-differentiation, acceptance, humbleness, courage, unattached and unbound by any belief, concept or desire and discover those beautiful wings that you were carrying with you the whole time, spread them wide and remember how to fly, cause after all it must be like riding the bike, once you do it, you will always remember it.
Start cultivating these qualities, or better said remove those fake qualities of the ego and illusion to rediscover the simplicity and purity of the true Self. Force your attention onto every single second of your life, bring awareness in your life and let it be your forever partner in the world, because awareness is what differentiates us from the ignorant animal-like beings that are just like leafs in the wind of the ever-changing and consuming illusory world.

If we realize that there’s no I and me, or other, that we are all One and that One is All, how can we need any moral rule or laws to restrict our actions, when we know that the action against another being is directly against ourselves?

We are living in God

I have the feeling that already the title has intrigued you. This is my realization, so it is just my own personal perspective about this matter.

Let’s think that we’re a cell in some living being. Can we be aware that we are part of a being? My assumption is that we can’t, we’re just doing our (cell) job growing, dividing (self), and some specific tasks that all the cells have and that’s it. Likewise we, humans are in our greater majority unaware of what’s the system that we are part of, we are unaware of the planet which is our body that we are part of, as the cell being a part of a living being. As such through extrapolation maybe you can realize that all the multitude of universes, realms and dimensions are cells in the primordial Being which we can call God, the Absolute and so on.

Everything is like a game play; it’s like the imagination of a novel writer that decided to allow its intellect run freely, creating world after world, story after story each of them being illusion and reality in the same time. If the writer has no limits and is omnipotent, then It can make that illusion (that in which the limited/normal writer can’t expand further than putting it in a novel or into a movie) actually take place, exist like a multidimensional movie where the Ultimate took out of Self billions of little pieces that were deprived of their omniscience, omnipotence and all the other Supreme qualities and were scattered inside the movie that It created for no other purpose but to see if those little bits of itself will know how to come back to their origin, to recognize and remember who they truly are – All and Nothing – finding again their power which was always inside of themselves, being occulted from themselves, by the power of the dual game of Maha-Maya (the Great Illusion). And everything from the “Upper-Perspective” is always correct, always right. But if we take things out of the context, like seeing things only from this life’s perspective, then we are definitely subjective, hence incorrect in our assumptions.

Accept everything and you will enter into the Divine stream of Life. Oppose and you are creating more illusion and suffering for yourself. Take this life as a game, as a sports competition in which you are supposed to be fair-playing, humble yet powerful, knowledgeable yet not a show-off, seeing everything yet not judging, minding only your part in this game, without scattering yourself into caring what other people think, what others do or say. Become independent and fix that smile on your face in “good” or “bad” and the good and bad will just merge, and you will realize that the result is “That” , which you have always been, devoid of characteristics or tags, the Eternal stillness of the Intellect which is the Creator and Knower of everything.

Does a cell inside of our bodies feel alone ever? Aren’t there millions and billions other that make us whole? Therefore although we are alone in this game, from the point of view of the fact that we have to take full responsibility for everything that happens to us, yet we are always part of a system (like cells of a muscle being part of the muscular system that has countless numbers of similar cells). Pull your head from your bottom and see, open your eyes of the Intellect (the higher intelligence) and start seeing (knowing). Don’t think small. Look at the ants how ignorant they are of the curious people watching them; how easy it is for the observer to destroy them, or give them a huge amount of food or some other type of help, yet they’re still going to be ignorant of “who”, “what”, in which way and the whole reason behind it all. We are the same from the point of view of those watching us, yet that shouldn’t scare us neither should it bring despair, because the game is fair even for the ants, after they fulfilled their duties in the ant life they’re going to advance to their next level and eventually reaching that point of the person watching the ant-house. As such if we do our best, with humbleness, honesty (especially to self), with surrender, acceptance and letting go of everything, we are going to be free one day of this game of evolution, when we will realize that we have always been “there”, but we failed to see it by foolishly accepting the self-imposed limits and barriers through beliefs that were there only to be uprooted as the obstacles on the hurdling track being there to jump over.

Can a cell evolve out of its destined existence of being a cell and performing its tasks, and become more than a cell? Highly unlikely, but the human being can evolve for sure out of its limitations and realize its true nature.

Break the chain

We are very unhappy with people that hurt us throughout our lives and we find it very hard to forgive and forget what they did to us. I will try to offer you a different perspective that might change the way you look at these people.

A boy is systematically beaten by the father, yet the boy loves the father. The boy is scared and feels like there’s no love coming from the father. He tends to look for any little sign of kindness and embraces that with joy as a sign of father’s love that he’s craving for although love seems to be missing.

The boy is very likely to grow up hating the father and trying to get his revenge somewhat. He may grow up to be an aggressive man himself. He can incarnate in a future life and punish somehow the father for all the beating and torture. This is a vicious circle of karmic entanglement that not many people nowadays are able to break. In theory it must be easy, we just forgive and forget, we let go of whatever happened. In reality It’s very hard, I know it myself.

But let me give you a wider image of the previous story. The boy and the father in previous life were lovers. The father was the female and the boy the lover. Their love was intense and they were unable to live without each other, they promised to each other that their love will last forever. He goes to the war and gets captured by the enemy. The woman receives news that he disappeared along with his unit and they are all considered dead. After suffering and crying she felt like suiciding but she couldn’t do it because of their little child that they had. So because being a lonely woman with a child was hard, she accepted to marry her old, unappealing to her – boss.

Three years later after war was over, the man comes home to find his wife having another two kids with some other man. He was devastated and she felt very guilty and victimized. He started drinking and he died as a consequence of his alcohol addiction. She was very angry with him because he never forgave her, and didn’t even want to understand her situation. She died several years later.

Because of the suffering when she was a woman, because she was sexualy abused during the period of the husband being a prisoner, she decides that she wants to be a man so she incarnates as a male. The boy sees with his unaltered consciousness (before incarnating again) that he exaggerated with his reaction and he decides to be born as the child of his former wife – now his father in order to try to pay his karma. Without knowing why (unconsciously) the father is continuously irritated by the child which is loving the father unconditionally. The father (as in the previous life) hates the child because that hatred came from the past life through entitlement, guilt and shame and other low vibrational emotions towards the unforgiving lover.

Now the father is just fulfilling his role in this huge game of life. The game of life is always fair, only we lack the whole picture to realize that. The boy, now grown-up, decides to forgive the father from the bottom of his heart so he breaks the entanglement. But many people continue this game of ”I hit you and then you hit me” forever, that’s why they’re caught up in this trap that they have set for themselves.

The same thing happens in the army, there were three stages of recruits: newcomers, middle boys and veterans. Always the veterans and the middle boys will make the newcomers lives miserable until they become themselves middle boys or veterans. Here, breaking the spell is harder since the entire group of veterans and middle boys are supposed to stop the mistreatment. But in our individual cases it should be easier. Forgive and forget everyone. Realize that they are paying you back for past deeds. Don’t punish, don’t take revenge. Break the chain, stop the curse that is throwing you back again and again into the game of punishing and being punished. Accept all the punishment that comes in your life with ease, know for sure that you are supposed to experience that and accept, surrender and let go. This is the shortcut to the self-realization.

Our aggressors in this life were our victims in past lives. If you truly forgive them and send love and blessings to them instead of hatred and desire to revenge, you break the karmic chain. Once you break it, you start paying off all your debts. People may rob you, talk bad about you, they can cheat. Be happy! You are paying your debts.

Thank them all inside of self. If you feel that is necessary you can do it in person also, but only if your intuition is advising you to do so, otherwise is might be not only unnecessary, but inadvisable.

Life is made up of events that are always correct and aligned with the bigger picture (that we’re unable to see) in which we all play our roles in paying off our karmic debts and involuntarily we are tools in the hands of Life in making others pay off their debts. Vengeance is one of the biggest traps, everyone can be vengeful, everyone can be righteous. Forget about them all, especially righteousness which is the cunning hidden trap in everyone’s lives. Once someone said: “Would you rather be right or content?!” I know everybody feels like answering “content” yet when we find ourselves in the position of being right, oh it’s so hard to chose contentment. But slowly-slowly we can do it. It’s enough to want it, it’s enough to decide to break the chain of self-imposed slavery (by reincarnating over and over to punish our aggressors), and half of the work is done. The rest is acceptance of whatever comes your way, surrender onto whatever your Higher Self prepared for yourself and let go of any expectation, any projections, any memory of people hurting you, abusing you… Let them go with love. Those who hurt you have a great potential of creating a purer “you”, a more experienced, more loving, forgiving and more humble person. Thank them and love them instead of holding a grudge. This is the secret of truly breaking the karmic entanglement.

In this world whatever is supposed to be ours will be and nothing is ever lost, if it is lost and doesn’t come back, it means that it was never yours. Someone stole something from you, be happy! It’s the easiest way to pay some past deed. Bless everyone in the process. Those who wish you good are there to ease the pressure. Those who are here to punish you are those who push you to thrive and break through. Like I stated before, in this world of duality everything has a double potential, it’s up to us what we choose. According to our choice of action and way of seeing the things, the aggressors can ruin our lives or push us to thrive. What’s your choice?
