We are mostly navigating unconsciously in this reality

navigating unconscious

Record yourself, video or at least audio, keep the recorder on the whole day and try to watch it afterwards and realize how unaware we are of what we do and say throughout the day. But in order to realize the unawareness, a certain level of awareness (which is mostly nonexistent to the majority of people) and honesty to self has to be there. We have to be very sincere in order to accept that we are looking like possessed sometimes, possessed by the subconscious mind, old patterns and poisonous emotions.

Because maybe nobody will waste time to watch or listen 8-10 hours of their day, I will recommend you to start recording when you reach home for the 30 minutes and better when you are meeting someone. Even if you will alter your way of behaving because remembering that you are recording, it’s a good exercise where you can realize that you are acting automatically when not being aware. So it is a good way to start being more aware.
I studied myself especially when interacting with other people, and I was surprised to find out how my old behavioral patterns were dictating my way of communicating and behaving with others. It is like we are living our lives mostly being unaware, of the root of our habits and the programs which define the automatic and semiautomatic responses to different stimuli.
Our behavior is altered by the conscious, subconscious and unconscious programs that we acquired throughout this life and previous. So we already come altered to some extent, but not only that we’re not aware of these programs, but we are collecting more and more, adding to the level of difficulty that the path towards the true freedom has, transforming it often in an impossible task,at least for this lifetime.
If we are happy with the life that we are having and we are not ready to implement gradual changes, it is no problem, sit back, relax and enjoy. But I am sure that we are all aware that life is not a walk in the park, and no matter how much we enjoy it, at some point we will be questioning the meaning of our existence. Since you are reading this, that question must have been already addressed. Have you found your purpose? Nowadays paradigm, unfortunately, doesn’t support the ideas that you are going to find, reading this blog, but if something in it clicks with you, if you feel that there may be some truth in it, just dig deeper. You don’t need to take my experience for truth, you just need to start thinking for yourself, and whatever information comes your way, filter it through your intuitive sense, and secondly or not at all by the mind because many times mind is too linear, too logical to accept something which is out of the range of the things that is used to analyze. If you hear an idea that may seem crazy at first glance, don’t deny it (like in the scientific method), don’t accept it either. Question it. First of all, in order not to waste unnecessary time with it, ask yourself “Is the answer to the question going to improve my life or the way I understand the things?” If the answer is yes, then use intuition, or contemplative method, but if it’s not useful, why to even waste your time with?
If it’s really useful, and the answer is going to change your life or way to see the world, then ask first your Higher Being, or we may say ask your heart or your right side of the brain about it, the abstract part of the mind, because the logical one (left side), is failing to understand most of the time matters that are beyond the comfort zone, which is the case with the path of self-realization. In order to recognize intuition we must train ourselves to listen to it. So many times my intuition warned me about certain people at first sight, but I was trying to convince myself that I am biased or it’s not fair or “politically correct”, but each time, the intuition was right, sooner or later that person would show their real face to realize that my inner feeling was always right. I shared this with you , dear reader, so you may draw a similar parallel. Maybe each of you had different moments when you were warned by intuition ,yet you were not following it. You may find useful to start using the biggest tool that we have embedded into our being!
Are we really navigating adrift in this reality? Yes the majority of us are. Because we have no higher vision whatsoever, most of the time, and by the sunset of the life we realize the uselessness of the life we lived. Don’t know about you dear readers but I will definitely do something about it. I will start using the steering wheel (awareness). Like in the song of Michael Jackson: “If you wanna make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and make a change…”
