If the suicidal person will just give a day or two for that issue to burn itself off, there will be no death by suicide on this planet. I bet many of us had the idea at some point. Yet we are still here, and whatever was the motive that pushed us to take into account such a possibility, it eventually faded away. But in those moments, we love to project, to create monsters out of plain nothing, to feel that everyone hates us and takes advantage of us (victimized perspective), we tend to analyze and over analyze the facts, finding more disturbing (fake) things that we didn’t see before yet there’s nothing there, everything seems darker and darker. It is all our own creation and projection. Nothing is ever good or bad, there is just our analysis on that issue which brings a meaning to the facts. In fact everything is meaningless and time destroys eventually everything: ideas, perceptions, actual people, buildings, planets, stars, you name it. If you are not feeding the fire with fuel and/or it has no oxygen it will turn off by itself. Same with whatever issue you encounter. You feed a problem with your thoughts with your attention to it, with projecting, imagining outcomes, future events. Nothing is there, you are just artificially creating a bigger problem which doesn’t exist. Stop it, divert your mind from it, but come back when you’re calm so that you learn from it. Breathe deeply and you’ll see that whatever it was, it was just a storm in a glass of water.
Watch it, because when you are taking the road to fixing and removing the bad programming in your mind and subconscious, you are opening a Pandora’s box which is impossible to close. Either you walk the path or the path is going to consume you. Many have died trying (literally), it’s a path for the courageous, for the selfless people. It’s a magical path, which can be compared to a marathon but a marathon against various distorted versions of your own self. Be aware. It’s not easy, but it’s not always painful either. And it all depends on the perspective, so have no perspective, don’t judge the situation anyhow, accept everything comes your way lightly.
I would like to tell a small story about perspectives: One Buddhist monk sat under the tree where Buddha was said that attained enlightenment. That tree was a special tree and sometimes it was a path of communication between the true seekers and God. So this monk, looks above and asks:
– In how many lives I will attain enlightening?
God answers:
– You see, my son, count the leaves of the tree and as many lives it will take you to reach the enlightenment.
– This is horrible, said the monk and starts running while screaming and whining.
A second monk comes and sits under the tree and asks the same question.
The answer invariably the same.
– Thank you, that’s great… and he starts jumping like a child, claping hands and laughing… so I will get my enlightenment after all…
In that same moment the monk got enlightened.
You see, both monks received the same answer but each saw it in a very different way. Life is always according to the individual perspective and perception through own veils. And the one with no expectations received the boon that was promised after thousand lives. So like this in life, one has to learn to let go. Letting go of everything: expectations, people, hopes, desires, addictions, bad habits… But there has to be a vision, a Higher Vision, a goal that is beyond any tiny little mundane ambitions. And being patient and understanding that it may take a lot of time, may shorten actually the time of waiting and transforming oneself may come sooner than expected. The funny part is that whoever is rushing and wants things fast, will just run like a tiny mouse in a hamster wheel, pointlessly, since you can’t make anything happen before the time is right. You can never trick the Higher Self, the Universal Consciousness, you can just arm yourself with humbleness and patience and maybe you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
See, this self-improvement road is a very long and bumpy road, but by Grace, you are supported, even when you think you are not. You are loved and supported and above all watched. Start on this route with no expectations whatsoever. Just desire to be a better version of yourself and many boons are given without even you noticing. Like in a game when one player reaches the end of the level, he gets points and rewards, because after all this life is just a game, and the only certitude in this game is that at some point everyone surrenders the body.
If we make the boons our destination, we are just caught in the power game, and that same power which we may be dreaming of having will eventually destroy us.
So, you think is there anywhere to rush?
